Servers

At the core of Clearspan are four servers:

• Application Server – provides call processing, service logic, communication device and service management
• Network Server – provides policy based translations and routing, subscriber location directory and media server selection
• Media Server – provides specialized media resources, including media recording, media playback, DTMF digit detection, three way conferencing and media relaying
• Conferencing Server – provides enhanced audio and web conferencing

Together, these components enable a wide array of personal, group, and network services beyond typical PBX telephony services including messaging, attendants, interactive voice response, call distribution, site networking, conferencing and desktop integration.

A variety of applications providing enhanced services can be added to the network through simple licensing – no costly equipment!

Hardware

As a truly open communications system, Clearspan is vendor independent and supports off-the-shelf hardware components. Aastra Intecom has researched and partners with best-of-breed manufacturers to offer high-quality equipment that provides maximum performance for their clients.
